Downtown is the heart of our growing community. We are actively seeking ways to maintain our small town atmosphere, to preserve our quality of life, and to create the best business climate for quality growth. 

We are dedicated to making our downtown area attractive to new businesses and helping new businesses navigate the process of getting their business started in Social Circle.

Amber McKibben serves as Downtown Director.  The Downtown Director is the primary staff person for the Social Circle Main Street Commission. Amber is also a staff person for the Social Circle Downtown Development Authority, overseeing the Facade Grant program.  Amber acts as the liaison for production companies interested in filming in Social Circle. As the staff person for the Social Circle Mainstreet Commission, Amber works with the board to plan all of the events hosted in Downtown. She also works with business owners to help them with navigating any issues they have. Last year, Amber created a merchant group with the Downtown business owners. A Social Circle native, Amber is happy to see smiling faces at the Welcome Center and share the history of our city.
