The City of Social Circle has been notified of misinformation circulating on social media regarding storm preparation for this weekend’s expected inclement weather.

Some posts incorrectly advise customers served by city natural gas to shut off their gas service as a precaution. This information is NOT correct. Turning off natural gas service is not recommended unless you are specifically directed to do so by the utility provider or emergency officials.
